The Belgian CFA Society is a professional organisation with the objective of furthering the public perception and standing of the investment profession as well as providing services and support for its members in Belgium.
FOSTER PROFESSIONALISM The Belgian CFA Society aims to foster professionalism among its members and within the Belgian investment management profession in the widest sense. For example, the Belgian CFA Society seeks to nurture professionalism in the areas of corporate finance, portfolio management, security analysis, investment advice, and related legal, regulatory, and compliance functions by maintaining and promulgating high standards of ethics, skills and professionalism within the investment community at large.
ENCOURAGE HIGH LEVEL OF ETHICS The Belgian CFA Society has a mission to promote and join CFA Institute, and its Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct, in compliance with existing local regulations and cooperation with local organisations where possible.
PROMOTE CFA DESIGNATION AND PROGRAM The Belgian CFA Society seeks to promote the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation and to support candidates for the CFA designation in Belgium, to increase Belgian public awareness of the CFA designation under the auspices of CFA Institute’s program, which is recognised worldwide for its high standards of excellence.
FACILITATE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL NETWORKING The Belgian CFA Society encourages and supports contact and communication among investment professionals both within Belgium and worldwide through CFA Institute and its affiliated chapters and societies.
PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION The Belgian CFA Society organises continuing education events for investment practitioners, both on its own and in collaboration with other CFA Institute chapters and societies, especially the chapters and societies in the neighbouring countries.
ENHANCE INVESTMENT KNOWLEDGE The Belgian CFA Society promotes and carries out research in financial analysis and disseminates the results of such research.
